New weddings online.

May started off with a few storms but its getting warmer and the sun is up at 5:30 in the morning now. Just looking forward to the wedding season starting in earnest this month

Easter was early here in Cyprus and the Orthodox and Catholic churches celebrated it at the same time. This year there were not too many cases of chronic bowel blockage. Yes really. The Cypriots fast before Easter, only eating veggies, so when it comes time to finish the smell of Souvla (BBQ pork chunks, giant kebab for the uninitiated) is every where. Some people eat far too much in celebration and end up at the hospital.

We also had our first Greek Orthodox of lovely baby Amira on Easter Monday. Check out her baptism here

Not much going on really but watching people suffer from the Icelandic volcano. I am sure some tourists who got trapped here didn't mind having an extended holiday.

Other than that the weather was starting to warm up nicely and feeling like winter had come to an end.

We recently attended the Limassol Wedding Fayre (Σάλον Γάμου - the Greek spelling) and what a show it was. A 2 day 3 night extravaganza and we were really impressed with the show that was put on by all the Cypriot exhibitors. Of course we did our bit too.

The highlight was the wedding fashion show which we took some photos and video of. The dresses were stunning.

Anyway we won't keep you reading this too much but will ask you too see for yourself on our gallery pages and the video will be posted on You Tube probably in several parts in the coming weeks.
